Marian and Roger were just great. They were able to become friends with my dog, who does not like strangers, within a short time and sent me pictures and a short report on a daily basis. They also kept Torro, my black pig, happy by making sure his mud bath was always filled and the garden was well watered. When we returned the bed linen was washed and dried on the laundry line and the house was very clean and tidy. I am glad that I could book them again for an absence in February and can highly recommend them as reliable, communicative and very well organized.

Roger and Marian were perfect house sitters! They were very careful and loving with our animals, they kept the house tidy and clean and they didn’t mind doing the dirty work of taking the manure of the horses out of the paddock. When we came home we were surprised with a delicious soup. Very nice company as well! Thank you so much that we could leave our house without worrying, thanks to the many pictures you send us and the daily update about how things where going. I warmly recommend them!

Marian and Roger house and pet sat for me for several months during late winter/early spring at my farmhouse in Andalucia. I found them highly professional, personable, resourceful, calm and very considerate. They very kindly did a number of chores around the farm being very helpful indeed. They sent me regular updates and photographs of my pets while I was away to reassure me and keep me informed, but were careful never to burden me with worries. On my return I found my cats and dogs to be noticeably more serene, happier and fitter than when I had left. Sam, one of my dogs, in particular, had not been all that well and he is now fighting fit. I am very busy on the farm and sometimes do not give my pets as much attention as I would like. On my return , when Marian was saying goodbye to one of my dogs, she said something to her which really struck me, “We’ve had some fun, haven’t we!” Thank you Marian for reminding me that pets should be fun! I cannot thank them enough nor recommend them highly enough. I know they are very much in demand and I am not surprised so I am delighted that they have agreed to return at the same time next year!

We are delighted to recommend Roger and Marian as house/pet sitters. They looked after our dog and cat giving them plenty of exercise [for the dog] and love and care for both of them. The house was so very clean and tidy on our return and Marian provided a most welcome meal after our journey. Whilst away they kept us updated with pictures of our pets on a daily basis . We could not have been happier,and we fully recommend this delightful couple.

Roger and Marian were wonderful house and dog sitters! They were very organised and self sufficient and the dogs loved them and have asked for them to come back… They contacted us prior to the sit and kept us in touch and aware of their timings etc. They sent emails inc pictures everyday letting us know how the dogs were getting on. On our return Marian had cooked a lovely meal which was great to come home to. The dogs were happy and content and sat with them all evening! Monty offered to walk the dogs the next morning as he thought I might have lots to do to get ready for work. Matty stripped the bed and when I went in their room they had left a donation for our charity which was so kind. What lovely people.

Roger and Marian are the epitome of trusted sitters. They took excellent care of our two Labradors for a week. As requested they arrived a day ahead of our departure to enable us to show them the ropes. Lucy and Ruby took to them immediately and it was clear from the outset that these are genuine animal lovers. We went on holiday confident that our dogs were in very caring, capable and experienced hands. They also looked after our daughter’s two bearded dragons expertly. We received regular email updates and photographs while we were away. We returned home to very happy and relaxed pets, who had clearly enjoyed the company of their surrogate parents, a lovely home cooked meal and a clean & tidy house. they are delightful people and we very much enjoyed their company. We would be thrilled to have them sit again but expect that they will be snapped up by other fortunate pet owners very quickly. Five stars all the way!

Marian and Roger were wonderful – arriving on time and clearly very at ease with animals. Our dog George took to them immediately and it was very reassuring to know he was going to be in good hands. They were a delight to get to know the evening before we left. On our return the house was tidy, bed stripped, sheets down ready to go into the washing machine etc, which makes a big difference when you come back from holiday. Communication was excellent before and during the stay – with photos sent of George clearly enjoying their company. Many thanks, and hopefully see you soon.

Our first experience of using House Sitters could not have been better! Marian and Roger were lovely people – very experienced house sitters who made it easy for us. They looked after our little dog with care and enthusiasm – she looked so fit when we got back and was clearly having the time of her life. The house and garden were well cared for and Matty cooked a very welcome meal for us to arrive home to. We hope they enjoyed Cardiff enough to maybe come back, in spite of the very unseasonably wet weather they had.

It was a pleasure to welcome Marian and Roger to our home. The were extremely accommodating in arranging their arrival time, and were then punctual and very well organised. They are clearly highly experienced sitters, and we were immediately confident that both our home and pets were in competent and very caring hands. The cats seemed to love the attention they received, and we received email updates, with photographs to confirm this. At the end of their stay the house was left very clean and tidy, and the bed was stripped. We would certainly welcome them back and can highly recommend them as sitters.

It was a pleasure to meet Roger and Marian. They are a very organised, caring couple and we had no qualms at leaving them in charge of our house and dog, whilst we were away.
We received daily updates including all the photos above and she throroughly enjoyed her time with them, especially all the walks.
The house and garden had been well cared for in our absence, all clean and tidy on our return, with a welcoming meal cooked for us by Marian.
Hopefully they will be able to sit for us again in the future, althoigh they are in demand and we would not hesitate in recommending the as houseitters. Thank you Monty and Matty.

Such caring sitters and my dogs and cats obviously were very happy and comfortable with them even though this was our first sit. They left the house very clean and tidy and even washed the bedding. A great couple to have sit. We’re looking forward to October when they come again. No qualms about leaving my menagerie with them. Communication is very good with daily updates on the animals.

Monaty & Matty were fantastic house and dog sitters They cared for our boys really well, sending us daily ‘pup’ dates and photos They both looked after the house and garden and sorted out some problems whist we were away
Nothing seemed to be too much to ask even letting the boys say good morning at an early hour!!
I would recommend Monty & Matty to those people looking for a couple that are trust worthy and diligent in their care of their pets

OK, lets get down to brass tacks! There are many good Trusted Housesitters out there. There are of course those that are excellent. Monty and Matty do not fall into these categories! They are quite frankly utterly outstanding. From the moment they entered our home Matty was on the floor playing with Honey and Pudd. It was so evident we were in the company of a couple that really cared for our dogs. Brilliant communicators, they kept in regular touch by email. Photos were taken out on walks etc. Honey was unwell for a few days and this was all taken in Matty’s stride. Nothing will phase this couple – they are total experts in their field and their standards are high. To cap it all off, on our return, they had made a fabulous bowl of soup we shared together. Matty & Monty will provide any animal owner with what we are all really looking for ‘Complete Peace of Mind’. A RARE FIND – can I say more?

Marian and Roger spent a month over Christmas and New Year 2016 looking after our 3 dogs and 1 cat. They were very well looked after and their individual characters were very well catered for. We came back to happy, well-behaved animals. Puss was very contented too and established her place in the kitchen.
We returned to a tidy, clean house and a neatly weeded, small front garden and a terrace tidier than we left
They kept in touch by email and we appreciated the regular photos and updates which they sent. Being in the country up in the hills there were power cuts but they dealt with minor problems very effectively including plumbing.
We would not hesitate to recommend this thoughtful, resourceful, kind couple and would hope to see them again if they were available.
2) Mollina, Màlaga, Spain.
Roger and Marian were excellent pet sitters. My three dogs were treated just as I treat them. Unfortunately the day I left one of my dogs had a rather bad tummy upset, most rare in my dogs, and I was concerned for both parties. They kept me updated throughout the day and following days and put my mind at rest. I couldn’t have asked for more. I received photos of the daily walks with three very happy dogs! My house and plants had been looked after and the house was cleaner than when I left it. I thoroughly recommend them to look after your valuable family pets and home. I look forward to seeing them again as long as they can fit me in!
3) Alcalá de los Gazules, Cadiz, Spain.
If you want the perfect house-sitters, Roger and Marian are the ideal couple for you. They are outgoing, happy people who adore your animals. They are extremely conscientious and capable, with the ability to solve any problems that may arise, and even do one or two things around the house that you weren’t expecting and will delight you on your return. The only drawback is that thy are so booked up simply because they are so good. I hope my dogs and cat will have the opportunity to share time with again. You cannot recommend them highly enough.

Marian and Roger are two exceptionally lovely people who are totally dedicated to caring for your home and pets as if they were their own. They are very warm and genuine people who are only interested in doing what is best for you. Nothing is too much trouble for them, and everything they do is with your best interests in mind. Not only do they provide a wonderful and caring service, as you would want them to, but they do so much more as well. My home and garden has been maintained, and improved in some cases, to a very high standard. I consider myself very fortunate in meeting them through and look forward to many times away, in the future, knowing they will be caring for my pets and my home. No more sleepless nights for me wondering if all is well. I know for sure it will be. I can’t recommend them too highly

These two arrived very quietly, and just took over our lives! when we came home the dogs came out looked at us, as if to say,”Oh, you’re home” and went back to Roger and Marian for cuddles, the house was immaculate, the garden was weeded……………………….these two really are like the good fairies, very quietly and gently they just get on with it and it is all done! Fabulous! Thank you!!!

7) Thelien, Monestier, France.
Roger and Marian spent 2 weeks here looking after my 2 dogs, cats and house. I have no reservations about recommending them to anyone who wants total peace of mind. They kept in touch by email showing the dogs on various walks and the cats being cuddled. They dealt with an emergency trip to the vet with a calm and professional manner. I arrived home to a welcome meal after a 7 hour drive and to find my garden had been tidied, grass cut, bushes trimmed and some odd jobs dealt with, for which I an extremely grateful. They are a lovely friendly couple and my only regret is that they are so highly thought of I will have difficulty in booking them again !!
8) Caixas, Pyrénées, Perpignan, France.
What an excellent couple!! Marian and Roger looked after our three (very active) English Setters and two dwarf goats while we were away in Italy. Nothing phased them, even the fact that the car we left them to use to take the dogs out gave up the ghost – they simply cleared out their own car and took the dogs for their extended walks anyway. They even cleaned up the dogs, a pretty impressive feat given their propensity for rolling in the thickest mud possible at every opportunity. The finest praise is probably the fact that the dogs were completely at home with them, and they kept us up-to-date with their antics by sending pictures by email. We would recommend them to anyone and everyone – a capable, resourceful and caring couple!
